Warranty Against Defects

For purchases made by consumers, Salamastra Details S.r.l. abides by the laws relating to warranties laid down in the Consumer Rights section of the Consumer Code: [Art. 130, Legislative Decree 206/05].

For a claim to be valid, the consumer must provide written proof of purchase indicating the purchase date such as receipt, invoice, shipping document, etc.

If the consumer finds faults or defects in the products purchased at www.Salamastra.com, the consumer may contact Salamastra Details S.r.l., on pain of forfeiture within two months of discovery, according to Article 130 of Legislative Decree 206/05, and request repair or replacement of the product, at no charge in either case.  The choice between repair and replacement will be available to the consumer, except in cases where the remedy chosen is objectively impossible or excessively expensive compared to the other.

The costs referred to in Section 3 include costs incurred for delivery, labor and materials, and as such, upon confirmation of the defect by Salamastra Details S.r.l. any approved expenses made by the customer for such reasons will be credited or refunded.  Please provide valid receipts for these expenses in order to be properly reimbursed.

Procedures for the return of product are defined on the web page: "Returning Product to Salamastra" found in the Customer Care Section.  Salamastra Details S.r.l. invites the consumer to describe when the defect was discovered,  the nature of the fault or defect in as much detail as possible and, include a copy of the receipt and order documents to indicate the order number, the name of the consumer, and any other appropriate information for the correct identification of the complaint.  The customer may fill out the Returns Form found in the Customer Care Section to accomplish this.

Salamastra Details S.r.l. will, upon receipt of the product conduct an analysis to confirm existence of the defect and upon confirmation of the defect and as appropriate, carry out repair and/or replacement required within a reasonable period.  The customer will be contacted upon completion of this analysis.  If the consumer does not receive a response within five (5) working days, Salamastra Details S.r.l. invites the consumer to contact us again.  Salamastra also advises to check that e-mails are not being redirected or blocked by any 'spam filters' that might be installed on the customer's e-mail client program.

Where:

  1. repair or replacement requests are impossible or prohibitively expensive, or
  2. did not take place within a reasonable period, or
  3. have caused significant inconvenience to the consumer thereof,

the consumer may take his choice of an appropriate price reduction or termination of this agreement.

This warranty will not, however, allow for termination of the contract for minor defects, for which it was not possible or too costly to repair or replace.

It is expressly understood that the foregoing Sections 1,2,3,4,5 &6  will not apply in the event of defects in products purchased by professionals for commercial use, for which Salamastra Details S.r.l. without prejudice to the extent required by law, we make no guarantee.
